We have some more information on yesterday’s fire in Punta Gorda.
The Herald-Tribune describes the home on Green Gulf Boulevard as a total loss.
A fire department spokesman says no one has reached the owner yet.
The second floor had started collapsing when firefighters arrived.
The house did not have anyone inside it.
It also had no access to fire hydrants, leading crews to rotate at least eight engines carrying a thousand gallons of water each.
The state fire marshal keeps investigating how this all started.
