Punta Gorda residents may some have bigger bins, on wheels, to handle their recyclables. Punta Gorda’s City Council’s considering a switch to the bigger, covered, wheeled bins because residents say the current models don’t hold enough and can’t be covered. NBC2 reports a vote could come on a switch at the next council session. If approved, the city would end its agreement with Waste Pro and switch to Waste Management, which will be cheaper, but still mean some adjustments for residents. If approved, the new carts would roll out in October.
