Developer Pat Neal’s proposed 263-home subdivision is being seen by some residents as far too dense for what’s pretty much still a rural area. Others welcome it. Opponents, according to the Herald-Tribune think the Woods at Venice and the cars and people it would bring, will interfere with migrating wildlife heading to area nature preserves. The projects proposed for an area at the northwest corner of Jackson and Border Roads. A public hearing by Venice’s Planning and Zoning Commission on the proposal will come later.
