It looks like property tax bills will increase for many of us on the Sun Coast next year as local governments use a second year of rising property values as an opportunity to boost spending. The Herald-Tribune reports no city, county or school district in the region appears likely to roll back the tax rate to a level that would keep revenues flat — even as property values increase — although some will lessen the increased burden by lowering rates somewhat.
