Some people have started a trend to show support for law enforcement.

Project Blue Light means people put blue tape or paint on the curbs in front of their homes or their mailboxes. They also put blue lights in their windows.

Charlotte County Deputy Keri Deheart tells WBBH-TV that she finds this project very uplifting.

The sheriff’s office two years ago lost Michael Wilson in the line of duty.

The initiative has made the rounds on social media. Organizers hope it reminds people of the real dangers of law enforcement.
