Didn’t tell them that he’d sold it, so 46-year-old Robert Preiss was convicted last week of selling the art on consignment and pocketed the money: 300 thousand dollars plus. Preiss owns R and R Bond Gallery and was convicted in Sarasota County on charges of grand theft and fraud. No sentencing date’s been set, but Preiss could get 30 years in prison.
