A Port Charlotte man called CCSO yesterday reporting the discovery of what appeared to be illegal drugs. Deputies say Rodney Hobbs reported finding a black bag in front of his home, with a small unlocked Sentry safe with two plastic baggies. Deputies field tested the contents and both tested positive for methamphetamine. One baggie had 86 grams of crystal meth, the other 57 grams of methamphetamine. The street value of the drugs would be between $5,000 and $7,000.
