A Port Charlotte man’s being held without bond in the Charlotte County Jail, facing 5-counts of possession of child pornography. 29-year old Geoffrey Gottfried was picked up after his IP address came up in an investigation into the distribution of images of child pornography in the internet. A search warrant was issued, and authorities say they found images of child pornography on Gottfried’s computer. Gottfried was on probation at the time of his arrest and was also charged with Violation of Probation.
