Narcotics detectives arrested a Port Charlotte man for battery yesterday after he allegedly grabbed an undercover detective in the groin at a local park. Deputies were investigating complains of sexual activity at Sunrise Park in Port Charlotte. The suspect’s been identified as 88-year old Jerry Digeronimo. He’s charged with Battery and booked into the Charlotte County Jail.
