A Port Charlotte homeowner has made some Illinois people very unhappy. Gary Grosskopft is road commissioner for Oswego Township. CBS 2 in Chicago says that Oswego residents are upset that Grosskopft makes nearly $100,000 per year from taxpayers yet spends nearly 11 months of the year in Florida, according to phone records obtained by a community activist. Town leaders say they’ve asked Grosskopft to spend more time in Illinois, which he has promised to do.
