Economic conditions are affecting something we’ve taken for granted in the Coast for years: retirees settling here after they stop working. Now, a new Associated Press poll indicates a new twist: Baby Boomers aren’t planning to retire any time soon. In fact, one in ten people between the ages of 44 and 74 who might otherwise have planned to spend their retirement years in Florida may never come here. The poll says that a whopping 73 percent of Baby Boomers now say they’re putting off retirement form age 67 to 74 or beyond for economic reasons.
