The Charlotte County Airport Authority says the number of passengers who used the airport last month was 58% higher than July of last year. NBC2 reports the airport’s passenger numbers have been climbing for 20 consecutive months. That’s likely to continue, with Allegiant Airlines adding sevice in November to Akron, Ohio, Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Kansas City, Missouri. Adding to that, the airport’s opening a new expanded terminal in mid-September, tripling the amount of waiting area space, and opening the door for more service.
