Who will decide how fifteen Florida hospitals that levy tax money can continue to use those funds? That’s a question a panel appointed by Governor Rick Scott has been looking into and the result could make a big difference in how those hospital operate. Sarasota Memorial Hospital is one of the fifteen. The panel is reportedly set to recommend that voters should periodically decide whether public hospitals can continue levying taxes and if the money should be spread around to any agency that treats indigent people.
