A Sarasota woman has bonded out of jail after deputies arrested her for prescription drug fraud. Deputies say Kelly Braunstein turned herself in to face charges she had written prescriptions for pain meds and signed them with the name of a doctor she had worked for in Bradenton. During a routine visit to Sarasota Pain Management, investigators checked personnel records and noticed Braunstein was now working there. That record review is required by Sarasota’s new pill mill ordinance. Braunstein was released from jail after posting $15,000 bond.
