(PUNTA GORDA) The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is holding another Civilian Gun Safety Course in a couple of weeks and still has a few opening available.
The course will be held on Saturday June 29 from 8 am until 5 pm at the Sheriff’s Office Training Building at 25500 Airport Road in Punta Gorda.
You need to bring your firearm along with 50 rounds of ammunition (no reloads). Completion of this gun safety course can meet one of the requirements for a concealed weapons permit. Hearing and eye protection will be provided.
Participants must be pre-registered. To register for the course, please call Sgt. Greg Kalosis at (941) 575-5367. The cost of the course is $35, payable by check or money order to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
