Charlotte County law enforcement went for a jog this morning. The sheriff’s pffice, Punta Gorda Police, and Charlotte Correctional Institute participated in a torch run for Special Olympics. Patrol cars escorted the runners along Highway Forty-One from the Publix in Punta Gorda to the Publix in Port Charlotte. That covered over ten miles. The route included a brief detour to Charlotte Harbor School, where the runners took a quick break for water.
