NORTH PORT, Florida

A temporary interruption in water service will occur   Tuesday, May 23, beginning at 9 a.m. Due to the nature of this maintenance project, it is anticipated that crews will have water service restored by 1 p.m. City of North Port Utilities will be replacing a fire hydrant and valve in the Cranberry Blvd./Milan Street/Ronald Street area.
After water service is resumed a boil water advisory will be in effect as a precaution. Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for consumption (for example, drinking and cooking water, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes) should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute. As an alternative, bottled water may be used. Affected residences will need to continue boiling water for consumption until they receive a “Rescission of the Boil Water Notice” doorknocker when the advisory has been lifted.
If you have any questions concerning our planned activities, please call the Utilities Department at 941-240-8000.
