How many pets do YOU have? At my house, it’s three lazy dogs and a big-mouthed parrot. The number of pets living in a household has never been the subject of city government interest in North Port before — but it is now. The city’s Planning and Zoning Advisory Board will discuss how many pets individual homes should be allowed to have at its meeting tomorrow morning at City Hall. The number of animals allowed on a residential property has apparently never come up since North Port first drafted an animal ordinance in 1959.
