(Port Charlotte) The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a beige Ford Crown Victoria. The traffic stop was initiated due to the driver not wearing a seatbelt, which resulted in the arrest Felix Jordan, 43, 3798 Enid Lane, North Port on drug trafficking charges.

The deputy issued Jordan a warning for the seatbelt violation, and was then asked if he had any weapons, drugs or contraband inside the vehicle. Jordan answered no, and he then gave consent to search his vehicle. The deputy located a prescription pill bottle which had the label removed. Located in the pill bottle were one hundred and sixty (160) Oxycodone 30mg pills. Jordan was then placed under arrest for; Possession of Controlled Substance, Trafficking in Controlled Substance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Jordan was taken to the Charlotte County Jail; he was booked and then released on a 28,500 bond.
