The City of North Port’s reportedly working on a water trail for kayaks and canoes, comparable to the Legacy Trial for walkers, runners, and cyclists. The Herald-Tribune reports city park officials think that the city could turn into a regional attraction for paddlers with its’ 80-miles of waterways. Thursday night, there’ll be a public presentation of the first phase of the proposed project-linking three waterways and four parks into one 6-mile long course, starting at Blue Ridge Waterway.
