The Court has denied a request to have the prison sentence of Kristen Bury, the mother of Baby Chance reduced.
Bury received a 25-year prison sentence in connection with her husband Joseph Walsh in the death of her 7-week-old son Chance Walsh. The woman requested 10 years in the Department of Corrections, followed by one year in a recovery-based treatment center, two years of community control, and two more years of drug offender probation. Her sentence was originally a maximum of 30 years but shaved off five years by accepting the plea deal, which mandates that she testify against the boy’s father.
