The Peace River team now has a side-sonar devices mount on their boat thanks to a very generous donation. NBC2 reports the all volunteer Peace River team assists with many search and rescues, most with K-9’s, but there are a lot of waterways in the county, and side-sonar will make all the difference. It’ll give volunteers the ability to scan an area and rule it out as a site that needs to be checked. It’s also expected to save taxpayers money by cutting down the number of times law enforcement divers have to be called out. The $3,000 device was donated by Firehouse Subs.
