Rangers at Myakka State Forest are looking for something a little out of the ordinary in their line of work: an exotic snake, one that’s not a Florida native. Reports have come in from time to time that a boa constrictor has been spotted in the forest. Now, there’s photographic evidence: a volunteer has turned in a picture of a boa constrictor that’s estimated to be about six feet long. Rangers haven’t yet been able to corner it and don’t know how it wound up in Myakka State Forest.
