A motorcyclist who was struck by an S-U-V that was driving in the wrong lane earlier this week has died. Authorities say 28-year-old David Quackenbush of Palmetto died at a hospital as a result of injuries sustained in the accident in the three thousand block of U-S 41 on Tuesday. Officers said Quackenbush was riding behind a car that suddenly swerved to avoid an oncoming S-U-V that was in the wrong lane. The car ahead dodged the S-U-V but Quackenbush’s motorcycle was hit and he was thrown onto the S-U-V’s windshield. Its driver now charged with reckless driving.
