Police have now identified the man who died while fleeing police on his motorcycle in Charlotte County last night. The Florida Highway Patrol says 19-year-old Matheus Flor of Fort Meyers died while fleeing from a Punta Gorda police officer who attempted to pull him over on a traffic stop. Flor ran a red light on U-S 41 at Harborview Road and struck an S-U-V. He was thrown form the motorcycle and later died in a hospital.
