The German manufacturer of traps that monitor mosquitoes carrying Zika says the “enormous demand” from the virus outbreak has surprised it greatly.

Two board members from Biogents say in emails today to The AP that the U.S. has a shipment coming to it.

The company’s only American distributor claims a backlog affects nearly 2,000 orders from governments and business in Florida and a handful of other states.

Florida still has not received most of the traps it has ordered to improve Zika surveillance statewide.
