A man was rescued from a burning Punta Gorda mobile home early Saturday morning. When crews arrived at the Pelican Perch RV Park, they found heavy smoke and flames billowing from the front of a home. A 62-year old man was found unconscious. He was rescued from the home and sent to Tampa General Hospital with life threatening burns. Neighbors say the victim has only been in the neighborhood for about two months. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
