A handgun at a Halloween party in Sarasota County. A real one. That’s landed a Bradenton man in jail. Party-goers told deputies they wrestled a gun away from 27-year-old Joel Freed of Bradenton after they say he threatened a man who objected to Freed talking to his girlfriend. The man said he pushed the gun away, thinking it was a Halloween prop. But when he touched the barrel, he knew it was the real thing. Freed arrested on a charge of aggravated assault.
