A man’s dead and more than a dozen people displaced after a fire late yesterday afternoon in Venice.

The State Fire Marhal’s Office is looking into what caused the two alarm fire at the Venice Gardens Towne Park condominiums. The Herald-Tribune reports the blaze damaged four units and displaced about 15-people. Authorities say the 48-year old man who died was found in a unit that suffered the most damage. Over two dozen Sarasota County and Venice City firefighters responded.
