The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Dushun Robinson, DOB 8/14/72, 1667 24th Street, Sarasota, for the murder of a man in the Pinecraft area on March 20th.

Detectives charged Robinson for fatally stabbing Steven Palasz during a fight that started inside a home on File Avenue. Robinson punched Palasz in the face and the fight moved outside, where Palasz was found by a deputy a short time later.

Robinson is charged with one count of Murder in the Second Degree and is being held without bond. The Fugitive Apprehension Unit, working in conjunction with the U.S. Marshal Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force, located him this morning.

Robinson has an extensive and violent criminal history. This is his 30th arrest on charges that include cocaine possession, aggravated stalking, battery and robbery. That doesn’t include the many times he violated probation or was in contempt of court. Despite facing 39 felony charges and 27 misdemeanors to date, Robinson was only sentenced to prison once, serving just four years and eight months.
