You have plenty of local opportunities to celebrate today, November 11th, Veterans Day. Englewood’s Veterans Day ceremonies begin at 11 a.m. at 10 Harbor Lane, at the west end of West Dearborn Street.
American Legion Post 113 will hold memorial services from 10 a.m.to noon at the Post, on Indiana Road, Rotonda West.
The city of North Port and VFW Post 8203 host a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. at Veterans Park, on Tamiami Trail.
The Military Heritage Museum and the Charlotte County Veterans Council hold a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. in Laishley Park in Punta Gorda.
All of these observances are open to the public.
