The future Legacy Park design and use on a 10-acre site near the Intracoastal Waterway will be discussed at a public workshop, Wednesday, July 24 at 2 p.m. at the Historic Venice Train Depot in the Freight Room, 303 E. Venice Ave. Learn about the proposed improvements and how they may affect the surrounding park areas including the Historic Train Depot, Marina Boat Ramp, Venice Historical Society, Legacy Trail, Venetian Waterway Trail, Hatchett Creek and other neighboring property owners. The workshop will address the potential uses of the historic Manhattan Produce Building adjacent to the site, as well. County and city staff working on the project will be available to answer questions and receive comments.
