A Lee County man filed a lawsuit against two Fort Myers police officers earlier today.
Holley Jones, 42, said the officers wrongfully tased him and arrested him while he was inside a Fort Myers 7-Eleven in April 2018. According to the complaint, Jones was inside the store when Officer Christopher Robles told him to go outside to speak to him. Another officer, James Barlow entered the store as well, but when Holley said he’d done nothing wrong, he was tased. They then handcffed hi ad escorted him bck to the polic car. The entire encounter was captured on the officers body cams. Jones was charged with resisting arrest which a judge later dismissed.
