The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind everyone to drive responsibly and soberly next weekend.
The national drunk driving enforcement crackdown for “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” has already started. It runs through Labor Day.
Until it ends, local enforcement watches closely for people who may drive impaired or under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
The sheriff’s office has its traffic unit out during the nights all Labor Day weekend as part of a DUI enforcement campaign.
The marine patrol unit conducts BUI enforcement during that time, too.
