Forecasters say they expect much more of the same. The Herald-Tribune reports December is usually the warmest month, usually hitting 73 degrees. We hit 80 for more than half of last month, and that has been good for the tourism and hospitality, with the warm weather attracting people to the beach and hotels. The National Weather Service expects above normal temps here for the weekend and most of next week. December’s average temperature was 5.6 degrees above normal for the month.
