Deputies in Collier County are looking for a man why they believe is stealing checks out of mailboxes, then washing them so he can write them out to himself and cash them. Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help tracking down the man who has been captured on camera and several banks in Collier County. Investigators say the checks were taken out of residential mailboxes, and they believe the man may be traveling back and forth from Collier County to the east coast. Anyone wwith information about the thefts can leave an anonymous tip at 1-800-780-TIPS.
