Investigators were back in North Port today looking for clues in the disappearance of 11-week-old Chance Walsh, who was last seen Sept. 9. Detectives and forensic experts have been searching a remote tract of land near Wylam Drive and English Circle, about 10 miles from Chance’s last known location. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office says it’s the only active search area at this time. Chance’s parents are in a South Carolina jail on child neglect charges awaiting extradition to Sarasota County.
