(Port Charlotte) The Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in identifying two men suspected of taking multiple PlayStation 3 games and a DVD from the Wal-Mart Super Center located on Kings Highway in Port Charlotte.

On Wednesday May 29, two Black males were seen on video surveillance in the electronics department of the Kings Highway Wal-Mart. One of the men appeared to be acting as a ‘look-out’ while the second man was seen handling several PlayStation 3 games. From the video, he appeared to be taking the games from their packaging and concealing them into his pants. When the second man moved away from the games area, the first man walked up to the same display and also tampered with the games and concealed them. Empty boxes were later located on the display.

A Wal-Mart Loss Prevention Specialist recognized the two men as the same two men who allegedly took more than $1,000 worth of PlayStation controllers from the store in December 2012. At that time, the two men were alleged to have been taking PlayStation controllers and materials from several Wal-Mart’s in Lee and Charlotte Counties.

The first man is described as being stocky, with long dreads, wearing a red T-shirt, black ball cap and light colored slacks. The second man is described as being stocky with long dreads, wearing a white T-shirt and darker colored pants.

Anyone with information concerning this theft or the identity of these men is asked to please call the Sheriff’s Office at (941) 639-2101, or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477). The case is being handled by the District 3 personnel.
