The Skyway Bridge is closed due to the maximum sustained wind speeds being measured at 50 plus mph. The bridge will remain closed until further notice.
Detour routes are as follows:
· Manatee County North: Northbound traffic (Manatee to Pinellas) I-275 traffic is diverted at Exit 2, US 41. (I75 is the designated northbound travel route)
· Pinellas County South: Southbound traffic (Pinellas to Manatee) is diverted to I-275 across the Howard Franklin, then east to I-4 then south on I-75 South or across the Gandy Bridge (SR 600) to either eastbound I-275 or the Cross Town Expressway (Leroy Selmon) SR 618 to I-75.
