Hang on to your hat. Hurricane Sandy is predicted to bring very windy conditions to the Suncoast this weekend. Northeast winds gusting to 35 miles per hour through Friday. It will remain breezy Saturday and then taper off later in the day.

Across the state, tropical storm warnings are in effect for the east cost of Florida from Ocean Reef, just south of Miami, to Sebastian Inlet, all the way up near Daytona Beach.
