Tropical Storm Colin has caused beach erosion on Manasota Key, and some homes there may collapse.
WZVN-TV reports the county has deemed two homes unsafe, and it keeps closely monitoring at least two condo buildings.
The county says it keeps working with homeowners to ensure their safety from storms.
It has also moved forward with a 10-year beach replenishment plan. This may restore some of the beaches.
As for those who own buildings and homes, they may have to install devices like sea walls to keep the water from them.
