Heron House, a Sarasota assisted-living center, has been working with the county public health officials since yesterday to contain an outbreak of a gastrointestinal disease among residents of its memory care unit. The Herald-Tribune reports they’ve isolating those with symptoms and are asking friends and relatives for the time being not to visit residents unless its necessary. The disease symptoms include nausea and diarrhea, and should runs its course over several days. There’s no firm count on how many people have been affected.
