Fruit growers and other agri-business professionals heaving a sigh of relief today after dodging what could have been a hard freeze yesterday. Temperatures got into the thirties but no lower than 38 Saturday night and Sunday morning, moderating to warmer overnight lows last night. That meant that potential damage to fruit trees and other crops was avoided, albeit narrowly. Better news tonight when the low shouldn’t et much below fifty. And while trees and plants are safe … there’s now a pollen alert for the Sun Coast today and tomorrow.
