Two Manatee County schools, Wakeland Elementary Johnson Middle, were locked down briefly this afternoon after authorities say someone fired a gun in the air on school property behind Johnson Middle School. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, says the weapon was fired a little after 3p.m.. Investigators say they do know whoever had the run was with someone, and both quickly left the scene.
