Representatives from two dozen groups yesterday gathered to break ground for Vincent Academy.
When it opens, this facility helps people recovering from mental illness re-enter society.
Vincent Academy ultimately pops up on Glengary Street just south of downtown Sarasota.
It uses Vincent House in Pinellas Park as its model.
The academy intends to offer vocational training, job placement, and a supportive environment.
The Herald-Tribune reports it opens late this year.
