Florida has a new death penalty statute.
The governor has signed legislation that may correct problems in a January ruling from the Supreme Court.
Now at least 10 jurors must recommend a death sentence.
The jury must also say the crime justifies capital punishment.
This new law may trigger lawsuits from many of the state’s 400 death row inmates.
