Governor Rick Scott has reassigned Charles Lawson’s DUI case to the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit of Florida, in Palm Beach County. Lawson is a State Investigator, and prosecuting him in Southwest Florida would create a conflict of interest. WINK reports Lawson was arrested early Christmas morning, and has been named a suspect in a hit and run accident that killed 48-year-old Michael Sasen. Sasen was walking down McGregor Blvd. when he was hit and killed. Lawson has not been charged in Sasen’s death.
