Alligators are moving around more than usual, and officials are urging caution.
It’s apparently due to the current extreme dry season where water holes are drying up and depleting their food supply…but it’s also the start of mating season. Authorities have been called out several times this month on reports of alligators located in yards, on sidewalks, driveways, along and on roadways, in ponds, and even in swimming pools. CCSO and FWC Officers advise residents to be extra cautious in keeping any eye out for alligators on the move.
