After falling in recent weeks, gas prices across Florida are beginning to increase. The state average has gone up 7 cents in the past week alone. AAA South says the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded now sits at $2.21 per gallon. That’s nearly 9 cents more than at the same time last year, and just two cents off the national average. South Florida has the highest gas prices in the state at $2.29, while locally, we’re among the cheapest areas for gas, coming in at just $2.17 per gallon.
