Gas prices continued their downward march toward two dollars a gallon last week.Triple-A reports that the average price for a gallon of regular fell on Sunday for the 26th consecutive day in Florida, for a total decline of 10 cents during that period. According to the Auto Club Group, gas prices are falling because of low demand and low oil prices, and improvements in gasoline supplies. The current statewide average price for a gallon of regular is two-16, down four cents from a week ago. The average in Englewood is two-07, down eight cents; in North Port, it’s also two-07, down six cents; and, in Venice, it’s two-14, down four cents.
